First german weapon made.

The first german weapon made for TTR:Torque is here. \"Say hello to my little friend.\"

The MP40 has now been added to the german collection of weapons in the \"Gameplay\" section. It\'s history and features are described as usual along with comparative images - real versus model and an animated gif of the full model.

Enjoy.

RE: First german weapon made.
It looks very nice with the butt stock extended... which makes me wonder: I know you guys are probably not at that stage yet, but are there any plans to allow folding/extending of the stock in-game?

RE: First german weapon made.
Looks very nice and detailed, but it still is high-poly nearing the 4000!!!.
It\'s not really a problem... But... You\'ll know what I mean. Wink

So any chance we might see some normal mapping in action? Big Grin

EDIT: Is it high-poly because of the 3D iron sights?
Hehe, don\'t forget quality skinning. Wink

Very nice, but I wonder how long it will take until the first version of TTR will be released if it takes you 2months to model one gun.

RE: First german weapon made.
We don\'t release the news right after a model is done, there are more weapons done. Oh, btw, the mp40 took me about 15 hours spread over 2 weeks.

@Sgt Henry, yeah, it\'s high poly, it won\'t be normal mapped. Basically a 4000 poly model would give similar performance to a 2000 polygon normal mapped model, so I chose for the 4k version.

And yes, ofcourse the ironsight\'s modeled. Smile

here\'s a render where you might be able to see the details a bit better.
