First german weapon made. - ElvenKind - 12-07-2005 07:09 PM ![]() The MP40 has now been added to the german collection of weapons in the \"Gameplay\" section. It\'s history and features are described as usual along with comparative images - real versus model and an animated gif of the full model. Enjoy. RE: First german weapon made. - tomcat ha - 12-08-2005 04:17 AM nice.... RE: First german weapon made. - Delirium_ - 12-08-2005 05:29 AM yeah looks very real!! the player model too but why black&white???? *goes to watch the real model after this lame joke* RE: First german weapon made. - =D.C.L.I=TuRb0jUg3nD - 12-08-2005 08:06 AM That gun aint ugly! Nice one. RE: First german weapon made. - Gego - 12-08-2005 08:11 AM Good job ![]() RE: First german weapon made. - Snake - 12-08-2005 12:56 PM It looks very nice with the butt stock extended... which makes me wonder: I know you guys are probably not at that stage yet, but are there any plans to allow folding/extending of the stock in-game? RE: First german weapon made. - Big-Al - 12-08-2005 05:52 PM would slow up game play... like in good old Infiltration... RE: First german weapon made. - SgtH3nry3 - 12-09-2005 06:44 AM Looks very nice and detailed, but it still is high-poly nearing the 4000!!!. It\'s not really a problem... But... You\'ll know what I mean. ![]() So any chance we might see some normal mapping in action? ![]() EDIT: Is it high-poly because of the 3D iron sights? Hehe, don\'t forget quality skinning. ![]() RE: First german weapon made. - DraKon2k - 12-09-2005 09:08 AM Very nice, but I wonder how long it will take until the first version of TTR will be released if it takes you 2months to model one gun. RE: First german weapon made. - joeb - 12-09-2005 09:15 AM We don\'t release the news right after a model is done, there are more weapons done. Oh, btw, the mp40 took me about 15 hours spread over 2 weeks. @Sgt Henry, yeah, it\'s high poly, it won\'t be normal mapped. Basically a 4000 poly model would give similar performance to a 2000 polygon normal mapped model, so I chose for the 4k version. And yes, ofcourse the ironsight\'s modeled. ![]() here\'s a render where you might be able to see the details a bit better.
