I thought quite the opposite as Wes there. I found it very enjoyable, the weapons were just satisfying to fire, unlike Doom 3\'s \"pellet guns\".
The envoronments feel pretty varried(already sporting more types of architecture/style than most of Doom3)

It definatly needs some polish though, many of the scary parts were ruined by a badly transitioned animation, or sub-par voice acting/script.

Multiplayer seems like it will be what I hoped for in Doom 3\'s multiplayer: Intense, destruction filled firefights. *played mp beta* :O

Dark forces is one of those games that needs a remake on a modern game engine. Just update the graphics and geometry to modern standards and it will be as good as it was then

That one probably comes the closest to what I\'d say is a truely scary game. I only played the demo, and I remember there was this small blue spectral pinguin-like creature that haunts you in one of the hallways. It didn\'t hurt you or anything, but it was just so unnaturally eerie...

Alone In The Dark 4 also had some moments like that. When you ran outside to the gate, you\'d see zombie creatures for a split second whenever lightning struck. Eerie.
