I thought quite the opposite as Wes there. I found it very enjoyable, the weapons were just satisfying to fire, unlike Doom 3\'s \"pellet guns\".
The envoronments feel pretty varried(already sporting more types of architecture/style than most of Doom3)
It definatly needs some polish though, many of the scary parts were ruined by a badly transitioned animation, or sub-par voice acting/script.
Multiplayer seems like it will be what I hoped for in Doom 3\'s multiplayer: Intense, destruction filled firefights. *played mp beta* :O

Dark forces is one of those games that needs a remake on a modern game engine. Just update the graphics and geometry to modern standards and it will be as good as it was then

Alone In The Dark 4 also had some moments like that. When you ran outside to the gate, you\'d see zombie creatures for a split second whenever lightning struck. Eerie.
