RE: Post your system specs
Primary:
ABIT NF7-S (nForce2 chipset) AMD Athlon 3200+ 1024mb Kingston PC3200 WD 20gb 7200rpm Maxtor 120gb 7200rpm Lite-on CD-RW Lite-on DVD-ROM Creative SoundBlaster 16bit PCI Antec SX1000II (SOHO File Server Tower) Altec Lansing 2.1 ATP3 (?) Speakers ViewSonic E90f 19\" Flatscreen Logitech MX300 Optical Mouse Logitech 104-key Internet Keyboard I used to run a Radeon 9800pro 128mb, but it died and I fell back on a GeForce 4 ti4800 Pro (which is plenty sufficient for the shit I run). Secondary (experimental): ASUS P4S533-MX (SiS 651 chipset) Intel Pentium 4 1.8gHz 512mb Corsair PC3200 WD 40gb 7200rpm Lite-on CD-RW Sony DVD-ROM AOpen H450 Case Logitech Optical Mouse Generic Keyboard (Keytronic maybe?) Laptop (class/travel): Dell Inspirion 1000 SiS M650 Chipset Intel Mobile Celeron 2.2gHz 256mb DDR SiS M650 Integrated Graphics (hardcore) AC\'97 Audio Chipset pushing two 4-ohm speakers (you know it rocks) The \"Bitch\" Dell OptiPlex GX1 Intel Pentium II 266 32mb SDRAM WD 30gb Creative PC-DVD Dxr2 Drive (this thing still has ISA ports ![]() The former three are currently running a patched Slackware 10.1, with freshly compiled 2.6.13 kernels, Gware 2.12.0 installs, and Xfce 4.2.0. The last one is running a minimalist, unpatched Slackware 10.1 install with the stock 2.4.29 kernel. My primary dual-boots to a \"stripped\" version of WinXP Pro Service Pack 2 (no WMP, IE, or any other pre-packaged bullshit). I honestly don\'t know why its there, as I havn\'t logged into it in over 6 months. I\'m tossing around putting FreeBSD 5.4 on the PII, but its always an ordeal even turning it on, so that may wait until the summer. |
