Reasons the Axis lost World War II

Tomcat, I hate to put this so rudely, but you need to hit the history books again.



The british didn\'t have a better bomber. Nothing could compare to the B17-B29 series. Nothing.

CONTRARY to popular belief, but the STG was not the finest weapon around. It was only slightly better then the M1 Carbine. The US forces had the finest weapon from the start of the war.

MP40 was not the best SMG. Not even close. The best is a tossup between the Thompson and the PPSH. Both had advantages and disadvantages over the other, but came out relatively equal.

The Americans had P80\'s operating out of Italy. They were on par if not better then the German Me262.


The best fighter in use is up for much question. But never is a German plane ever considered compared to everything else. The TA152H was only a revved up 190. It only slightly performed better then everything else at 25K ft. Anything lower and it got spanked.

The best fighter goes up between a few planes. One is the later Spitfire Series. They were getting incredibly powerful. One is the Tempest. Incredible package that saw a lot of service. One is the La7. The only downfall of the La7 is the lack of a fuel tank. A bunch of american planes were the P51H, F4u4, P47(Something), and F8F. All took the best aspects of the best fighters previous to the end of the war planeset and made them excell to the level and beyond the level of everything else out there.



Another thing contrary to popular belief, but the MG34 and the MG42 were not necessarily the best MG\'s. They were way more then what was needed, often proving that their bonuses were a detriment then a advantage. It\'s sort of like sending a College Student to take a 1st grade math exam. Then you send a fifth grader to take a 1st grade math exam. Both are going to ace it. But the College Student is gonna demand to be paid for his time (preferably in beer).

Every machine gun (except a few jap ones) performed extremely well and above what was needed from it. It\'s just that the MG series chewed through ammo quickly. I believe this to be a disadvantage.


Now the M2HB is a gun meant for an entirely different role then all of those LMG\'s, so it can\'t really be compared to them. (Btw, the M2HB is the most accurate MG at the time of WW2. That\'s the reason why the M82 is based off of it.)


Djs --> The british didn\'t win the Battle of Britain. Germany lost it. Had Hitler not been a dumbass, they would have easily rolled over Britain. But Hitler was a dumbass and we can only speculate.


Like it\'s been said previously, the Germans did not have the industrial might to compete in a long drawn out war. If germany had not won the whole thing in 4 years, they were going to lose eventually.

But everyone forgets that it was the industrial might of the Americans that kept everyone afloat, if barely not sinking. Had we not been sending stuff to Russia and Britain (parts, weapons, oil) they would have been defeated within the first 2 years (I speculate again).



And no. We would have never used the A bomb against Germany. We only used it against Japan because it was the best alternative to the invasion that was planned. It also shocked Japan into the 20th century.
