Moderator Rules
The moderator role :
The role of a forum moderator is to be both a Peacekeeper and a Cleaner. The Peacekeeper\'s main tasks are to make sure that peace is kept in the forums. To intervene before things get out of hand. The Cleaner\'s main task is to prevent the forum to be polluted with spam or utterly useless posts.

Definitions :
Spam - Useless post with little or no relation to the topic at hand, or a thread started without any proper substance to discuss - thus being spam by itself.

Offtopic - Any thread or post that is plain distasteful, or any post that is totally disregarding the topic title or the flow of the discussion. In other forums than the Offtopic forum, posts that deviate from the Forum Guidelines/Boundries will be considered Offtopic.

Flaming - Purposfully insulting or discrediting another member of the community.

Rules for Moderators :
1. Before locking a thread, deleting a thread or issuing warning points to a user, atleast one other moderator *must* agree with the action.

2. Any action towards a thread, post or poster *must* always be followed by a good, clear explanation as to why the action was taken.

3. Threads can be deleted, but only at the request of the thread starter, and if the moderator agrees with the reasoning.

4. The first poster in a thread who purposfully takes a thread offtopic will cause the moderators to step in with a post about staying ontopic, reading as follows : \"Consider this a warning for everyone. Stay inside the topic parameters or receive a warning.\" Signed by the moderator. The next post in the same thread going offtopic will be edited by a moderator giving a personal warning reading : \"You were warned about going offtopic in this thread, but did it nevertheless. Consider this a warning and refrain from doing it again.\" Signed by moderator.

5. The first poster in a thread who purposfully spams the thread will cause the moderators to step in with a post about refraining from spamming, reading as follows : \"Consider this a warning for everyone. Do not post unless you have something to contribute with. Posting for the sole purpose of posting will not be tolerated.\" Signed by the moderator. The next three post in the same thread going offtopic will be edited by a moderator giving a personal warning reading : \"You were warned about spamming in this thread, but did it nevertheless. Consider this a warning and refrain from doing it again.\" Signed by moderator. The last (third) Offence causes the thread to be locked and the edited message will have added the following : \"Thread is now locked due to spamming.\" Signed by moderator.

6. A poster flaming will be edited and given a personal warning reading : \"Flaming/Harrasing will not be tolerated on this board. Consider this a warning and refrain from doing it again.\" Signed by moderator.

7. Moderators will not post anything negative about other community members, moderators or developers. Doing so will result in a warning written by a moderator or development team member.

8. Moderators will not post anything that could be considered flame-bait, offensive or useless. Doing so will result in a warning written by a moderator or development team member.

9. Moderators are part of the face people see when visiting the TTR scene. This call for moderators to behave properly while on other mods/games forums aswell. Disturbances can result in warnings, at the discretion of a senior developer.

10. Moderators will listen to each other and work together. Ask advice, listen to opinions. You are a team, act like one.

11. Always report your actions in the moderators forums. This applies double for Moderator Notices (Reported Threads/Posts) as they disappear once they have been marked \"Read\". Moderator Notices are to be quoted in here (Moderator Forum) for discussion. Include what thread is in question, who reported it, why and when.

12. If you send a PM to anyone as a moderator, post a copy in the moderators forum.
