Mixed Drinks...

So what are some of your all time favorite mixed drinks?

None of the standard stuff. Rum And Coke is pretty self explanatory. We need stuff most people haven\'t heard about.

Here are my top 3:

Southern Lemonade – 2-3 Ice Cubes, 1/8 Bourbon, 3/4 water, 1/8 straight lemon juice. Add some sugar to dissolve. Change the proportions to change the taste. More sugar takes away the tanginess. More water takes away the Bourbon’s tartness. More bourbon takes away the soberness. A drink for the hot summer nights.

Ginger Bourbon – 2 Ice Cubes, 1/8-1/4 Bourbon, fill Ginger ale. Dash off with straight lemon juice and sugar. Very tasty drink.

Ole’ Fashioned – 2 Ice Cubes, 1/8 bourbon, Half orange juice, fill Ginger Ale, top off with Lemon Juice and sugar. You can’t even taste the bourbon.


I sorta invented / claim the first two.

Malibu (caribbean white rum with coconut) with pinneapple juice. This one is my all time favourite (a strong headacher, tho).

Turbo JD and Coke - Take one pint glass, fill 1/4 JD, 3/4 Coke. Top off with Southern Comfort to taste.

But indeed, a nice cold beer or 12 does the job

I\'m dry since the past three months actually. (f*cking exams)

I\'m more of a pure liquor man anyways, scotch, gin, martini, ...

I thought you were Tee-total, Pun? Anyways, I tend to favour the simple stuff, like a well made dry martini (I can post some nice variations on this classic when I feel less lazy.)

But I mostly just drink brown licker with lots of beer chasers when I\'m boozing, though. (cognac, whisky, armanjac, calvados). If not trying to get blindly drunk I just drink wine or beer.

That Ginger Bourbon sounds nice, though.

Just beer for me That, and jenevers. Occasionally I\'ll go for a good scotch whisky, and that\'s about it.
