Clarification of Certain Threads.
I would like you all to vote on this as soon as possible.
It\'s regarding threads like : \"Post your greatest game screenie\" \"What was the last thing you bought\" \"What are you listening to right now\" etc Should people be allowed to spam up these? In other words, should they contain anything but posts about exactly what the topic is? Or should anything go in there? ------------------------- If we choose option 1, nothing but ontopic, that would mean no asking questions about what game, what year, what band etc is talked about. If we decide to go that way, we need to start all those threads and scribe the rules down in post #1. Example (using Game Screenie thread as example) Rules : 1. Dont post pictures of anything else than ingame screens. 2. Make sure to mention what game it is. 3. No posts even slightly off topic. -------------------------------- If we go the other way around and allow anything, there might be times we\'ll look back and regret it We should probalby do something similar and add rules to the beginning of each thread narrowing the limits of what is to be posted etc. Please let me know what you think of this and why. |

RE: Clarification of Certain Threads.
i feel deviation should be allowed as they are spam, but ontopic, so in the games one i think people should be allowed to discuss the games inbetween pics stuff like that, but if it rolls too far off topic then it should be brought back ontopic

RE: Clarification of Certain Threads.
I haven\'t voted, because what I view isn\'t necessarily what is done. I believe that anything can go as long as it isn\'t being posted just for the sake of being a Post.
I.E. If something has no relevance to anything in the post, it\'s spam, it should be stopped. However, if a post is talking about cars, it eventually drifts to boats, this should be allowed. |

RE: Clarification of Certain Threads.
I voted the second option, because I think they aren\'t too bad, but one thing I do strongly believe is we should cull threads like this at about 25 pages. Theres no point in having so many pages of rubbish that probobly won\'t be read.

RE: Clarification of Certain Threads.
Allright. I think we all end up on option 2 somewhere, so let\'s stick to that. Also JRs idea of stopping the thread at 25 pages or so sounds like a good plan to me. It\'s basically 25 pages of information worth zero to ay other creature walking this earth.

RE: Clarification of Certain Threads.
Well I wouldn\'t say a reset, because the recent pages are more valuable, just incase someone misses a few days and really wants to read through or whatever. And its easy enough to chop off old pages.
