Top UK official is worried that the bird flu will kill off a quarter of the work force. Not a quarter of the people, but a quarter of the work force...

I don\'t think the \'pandemic\' would be that bad, afterall in 1994 they were saying by 2005 a third of the population would have CJD.... so far since 1994 there have been less than 1000 cases.

Granted it sounds like the UK goverment/news networks always make everything seem so dangerous. Take: \"Nuclear weapons in IRAQ\" for example.
Funnily enough I doubt there will be anything going on, just like there probably never will be any real terrorism in the UK.

Still preparing for something like that can\'t be bad. But for the meanwhile i\'d say just take it as it comes.
