So, let\'s discuss other WW2 Mods ....
HL2
R&L - http://resistanceandliberation.com/
LGW - http://www.lastgreatwar.com/

Ok, so I only remember these 2 (other than TTR [NOT A MOD ANYMORE, STUPID!], RO and DoD), discuss any other WW2 mods that are in development, released, just released, etc.

Looking at R&L and LGW, I can\'t really tell which on is better from the other, but LGW looks interesting because you get to fight as Candians and also spans the whole world. They started at Japan, will keep continuing.

R&L seems like another European WW2 mod, but IIRC (too lazy to reread), it is also in a paratrooper\'s shoes during the war. Doesn\'t sound that exciting, but hey, I could be wrong.

Of course, we have RO, which I wished I could play, but noone plays the 2k3 version, and sadly, I don\'t have 2k4.

Oh, but you are mistaken. CiA (the clan) is setting up an old school RO server so they can play RO 1.2. http://www.comrades-in-arms.com

LGW isn\'t a realistic mod. More of a DoD type I think. But RnL looks promising. Oh here\'s another: Finland at War. Russia vs. Finland ww2. I think it\'s: http://www.fawmod.net

EDIT: It\'s not fawmod.net. Don\'t go there. Here\'s the real Finland at War address: http://faw.hl2files.com/index.php?id=news

When I first played RO, I was vastly unimpressed, but then again, I had played an early beta version, so I hope they have improved greatly on it.

Of course for the CoD players out there, there is the Heat of Battle Mod.

Somewhat like TTR it is at team work oriented mod for Call of Duty.

The seem to have found the limit of what CoD will let them do, and are moving to the \"Source engine.\"

Cool!

Not WW2, but you\'ve all go to play The Trenches mod for HL1!

http://www.thetrenches.net/

It\'s done really well with lots of trench combat and really only bolt action rifles.

Cool thing was I went rambo, sniped 2 krauts, then hopped into the trench, went bayo crazy and got 2 more, capped the trench back. It\'s SO FUN.

Theres also an unpublisised HL2 mod called Spade..again based on Paratroopers.

RNL is aiming for realism and looks to be a winner (remember im a Paratrooper fan big time). LGW is goign to be abit mroe realistic than DOD but still very playable...plus all the theaters it will include is cool. HOBConfused is going to be really awesome...Kinda like DOD but more tactical...evenly balanced weapons...iron sights etc. Of course theres GL which we\'ve discussed (just gotta throw in that I am an Official Beta Tester now Wink )

So about all Ill throw in here is this: The Price for Peace. Which is a Mod for RTCW:ET (Enemy Territory...which means free game) They started out as a COD mod called Operation Overlord then moved to the anme POP...then swicthed to ET after Activision backed out on their promise to support the modding community...Really great Dev team/community checke\'m out http://www.priceofpeace.net

We all know that a STG 44 cant be evenly balanced in a realistic WW2 game.

RE: So, let\'s discuss other WW2 Mods ....
RO is pretty much the only realism WW2 mod i have played other than TTR.

since the beginning, RO has shown exceptional quality (cept for some buggy releases, which were fixed), even if their maps are kinda poor.
not to get into it, but RO was much like TTR:UT, and with this team starting where the TTR 1.2 team left off, i can only assume that TTR:T will definatly surpass RO both in terms of quality and gameplay.

other than that, the other mods mentioned above, (incl. GL) look to be pretty awesome, though i dont know how many of them i will actually play.
