Try all the bars and buttons in the map, there\'r some cool things if you haven\'t used google maps before. I especially like the \"hybrid\" button, that shows the geopolitical limits over satellite images. Most important european cities and some other areas in Europe have pretty decent resolutions even when you approach to the max.
And for win-users out there, in case you haven\'t already, download
Google Earth. That tool is just amazing. Google maps in a real 3D environment... with 3d geography!
BTW, spanky, I deleted your double entry, the pookerjinx one.
Hey, LT, what about renaming this thread to something like \"Where are you from?\" and re-stick it again? Here or at Litter Bin.
Not sure about a sticky here, but you can get one in the litter bin. Want me to move it?
Sure. Litter bin suits perfectly
woooooow, google earth rules!
I\'ve flewn over the grand canyon, over san francisco, salford (sisters boyfriend studies in manchester), newcastel upon tyne (I grew up there), offcourse my own house and favourite clubbing scenes in Leuven, Penang (Malaysia, once went on vacation there!), some mountains in China just outside of mongolia,...
Like a kid in a candy store, and dude, crand canyon is detailed!
A rafter could plan his course ahead with this tool!
