Everybody has discussed, voted on, and gotten into flame wars about the greatest guitar solos of all time. However, guitar riffs are usually just as important to rock (the various types of metal moreso) as the solos and bridges. So, anyways, I\'d like to hear your guys\' thoughts on some of your favorite guitar solos ( <--riffs ) of all time. I\'ll start it off my mentioning a few of mine:

Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child
Opeth - Blackwater Park (around 5:00)
Metallica - Leper Messiah (from about 0:15 to 0:30)
Tool - Pushit

[EDIT]
ooops, I see it. Riffs, not solos D:
the berzerker - forever

Pffft - lightweights!

21st Century Schizoid Man - King Crimson
Sweet Leaf - Black Sabbath
You Really Got Me - The Kinks
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida - Iron Butterfly
Ace Of Spades - Motorhead

+ anything from The Stooges ?Fun House? and ?Raw Power?

Guitars were invented before 1980, you snivelling little whiners! Tongue
Muse - Hysteria
So wait, are we talking riffs or solos here?
I\'m certaintly talking riffs! IsoFlux is also talking riffs, not only the \"main\" riffs, but also bridges. I wanted to put Slayer\'s ?Angel of Death? in there too, but realized that it is the bridge riff in the middle that I dug (sampled by Public Enemy in its time on ?Channel Zero?), not so much the main one.
he asked for best solos to =/ Mine was solo anywhooooo iieie
Airut - Lyijykyyneleet
Well, I was talking riffs only, but only because solos are so over-discussed Tongue

Yes, any riff: main, bridge, anything.

I will also submit one more:
Queensryche - The Mission (main)
