[EDIT] added smiley to indicate humour
hah Joeb. Its just a blog dude. I found out my family crest yesterday from medival times. I thought it was neato. I had \"royalty\" in my family in France. History is interesting.
I\'m closely related to Samuel Gompers...just found that out the other day.
The furthest we backtraced our family line was somewhere in the 1720\'s... So we\'re not that old. And there\'s no one important in my family line. No heritage at all here Tongue

Medieval French royalty, wow... Maybe you can now claim the French throne Wink
I don\'t think it\'s important who your relatives were, but who you are.

That being said, my great great grandfather ran for president (of the US) a few times. Ironically on a Democratic ticket. 3 Guesses as to who it is.
4th generation Canadian – a mix of 9 or 10 European countries.

Wow. A few times? That must be William Bryan.
Dead on.
My mother\'s maiden name is Goffeng, a scandinavian derivate of the more central european sounding \"Goffin\" or \"Gofin\". Anyone want to take a guess at where the family originated from? (they were goldsmiths or blacksmiths who immigrated to Sweden, and later Norway, apparantly).
