Tell you\'re not a scientist.... Carbon dating is inaccurate however, on the time scales being talked about, the accuracy is MINISCULE.
Carbon dating is accurate to
50 years
Lead dating is accurate to 10 years (but can only be used on items up to 250 years old)
Cs-137 dating is accurate down to 2 days (but can only be used on items younger than 1945)
